English: Finnish vihta (in East Finland called vasta), made of birch. It is used in traditional sauna-bathing for massage and stimulation of the skin. Two of the vihtas to the right are made in the traditional way, bound together with a rope made of a birch branch.
Suomi: Vihtoja Ukontuvan saunalla, Ivalossa. Kaksi oikeanpuolimmaisista on sidottu perinteiseen tapaan, vitsaksella.
Svenska: Bastukvastar vid Ukontupa bastu i Ivalo. De torkade kvastarna blöts innan de används vid bastubadet. Två av kvastarna till höger är bundna på traditionellt sätt, med en vidja.
